Leonardo Live
Tuesday, February 28 at 6pm - Tickets
The first-ever tour of a fine art exhibition created for movie theater audiences, LEONARDO LIVE is a showcase of the completely sold out Leonardo da Vinci exhibition at the National Gallery in London.
Art lovers around the world will be able to experience LEONARDO LIVE, a satellite-delivered HD presentation of the once-in-a-lifetime exhibition “Leonardo da Vinci: Painter at the Court of Milan”, captured at the U.K. National Gallery.
This is an unprecedented opportunity for audiences worldwide to experience these da Vinci works. The historic exhibition is sold out in London and, due to the fragility of the paintings, the exhibition cannot tour. LEONARDO LIVE features bonus content captured live on the eve of the exhibition opening in London this fall. This film provides a high-definition walk-through of the landmark exhibition, in-depth commentary about featured pieces in the exhibit and extra content.
“Leonardo da Vinci: Painter at the Court of Milan” brings together the largest ever number of Leonardo’s rare surviving paintings and some international loans that have never before travelled. The exhibition also brings together the largest ever number of da Vinci's paintings, including a newly discovered, never-before-publicly exhibited painting, the Salvator Mundi.
In London, the critics are raving about the exhibit. The Guardian says ‘the show is dazzling, mysterious and disturbing. That there are any paintings to show at all is something of a miracle’ and the Telegraph adds ‘a breathtaking and truly remarkable exhibition…the greatest exhibition of the century’. Crowds in the U.K. have been lining up daily at dawn to snatch the few remaining tickets to the gallery presentation. Tickets are re-selling at $700 apiece. The New York Times says the exhibit is ‘a wildly popular museum show, captivating the public to a degree no one anticipated.”
