Rachel Appleby

Rachel Appleby is the Choral and General Music teacher for the El Sistema Lehigh Valley. She is also a teacher for the Milestones in Music program, an early music education program in the Delaware Valley. Milestones in Music provides a comprehensive music program to aid in the educational, physical, and social development of children.

Prior to these experiences, Rachel received a Master of Science in Music Education from Syracuse University in 2009, and a Bachelor of Music Performance from Syracuse University in 2007. Rachel was fortunate to have studied voice with Donna Miller and conducting with Dr. John Warren during her time at Syracuse.

Rachel has since had experiences teaching a range of ages, from an elementary age to high school age, in both Syracuse, the King of Prussia area, and just outside of Philadelphia. She is very musically active in her church, currently serving as the music director for the annual musical. Rachel is also currently performing with the Cantatica Chamber Ensemble, as well as Valley Forge Chorus, a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, an international women barbershop organization.
