Schadt String Competition

Violin Finalists, free admission
The Schadt String Competition is the annual national solo string competition of the Allentown Symphony Orchestra. The competition alternates annually between violin, cello and classical guitar. First Prize includes a cash award of $8,000 and a solo concerto engagement with the Allentown Symphony Orchestra. In 2012, musicians will compete on the violin. The public is invited to the final competition among the three finalists. Admission is free and attendees will be asked to cast their own ballots for the Audience Choice Award that will reward the winner with a cash prize.
